This policy explains how 8 Ball Powersports collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use this website, including our payment calculator and pre-qualification application. In this policy, "8 Ball Powersports", "we", "us" and "our" mean 8 Ball Powersports.

We work with Ride Motor Company, a separate business, to help customers find and finance powersports vehicles. This policy explains when and why your information is shared with them.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us through our forms:

• Contact details: first and last name, phone number and email address.
• Address: street address, city and province.
• Vehicle and budget: the type of vehicle, whether it's new or used, price range, down payment and trade-in.
• Employment and income: employment status, employer or business name, job title, time with your employer and monthly income.
• Payment calculator inputs: vehicle price, down payment, trade-in value, term and interest rate, and the resulting estimate.
• Your consent choices and the date and time you submitted a form.

We do not ask for your Social Insurance Number or banking information on this website, and we do not run credit checks through it. If you move forward with a lender, that lender may ask for more information and for your separate consent to check your credit.

Technical information. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our font provider (Google Fonts) receive basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, when you load a page.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request and contact you about your payment estimate or application.
• To assess your financing needs and find financing options that may suit you.
• To share your application with Ride Motor Company and with lenders, as described below.
• To keep records of your requests and consent, and to meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• Ride Motor Company, so their team can contact you and help with your vehicle purchase and financing.
• Lenders and financing partners, so they can assess your application and offer financing options.
• Service providers who handle information on our behalf: Google (Google Workspace, where submissions are stored and emailed to our team) and Cloudflare (website hosting). They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
• Others when required by law, such as in response to a court order.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored using Google's services and may be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

Your consent

By submitting a form on this website, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your information as described in this policy. Separately, our forms ask for your consent to contact you by phone, text message and email.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us (see below) or using the unsubscribe option in any message. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to help you find financing.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. After that, we securely delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including access limited to the staff who need it, password-protected accounts, and encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask questions about how it's handled. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Alberta, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Age

This website is intended for people who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
